EDIT 601 Instructional Design and Development Portfolio (asynchronous)

One of the most interesting and fun courses of the program that was taught by Professor Kevin Clark. Personally, this class was about making documentation of my experience, the things that I did. The analysis is based on the past experienced and my observation. Additionally, this was a chance to bring back all the memories that have been past in my life and share it with my instructor and classmates. (FYI this was my discovery of WiX which I have been using on all of my major projects!)

EDIT 730 Advanced Instructional Design (synchronous)

This course taught by Dr. Dabbagh was by far one of the most challenging courses in this program. I had some challenges designing my final presentation. I tried several different online modules including Prezi, Microsoft Power Point, and Google Docs. I finally decided to use WiX (Thanks to EDIT 601) for my final project. In this course, I have learned that an instructional designer must be able to identify how an audience thinks, create motivational material to strike the learner to want to learn more, and understand the cause to change. Additionally, the instruction must be engaging to keep the learners attention spam high and allow for the learner to process and implement what they have learned.

EDIT 732 Analysis and Design of Technology-Based Learning Environments (synchronous and asynchronous)

This course was taught by Dr. Brenda Bannan. This course provided me with an opportunity to experience the instructional design and user experience process as applied to the conceptual prototype of a technology-based learning system. I had the chance to interact with clients, subject matter experts, target audience members as well as prototype their ideas using selected technology software tools.

EDIT 611 Innovations in E-Learning (asynchronous)

Another exciting course taught by Dr. Shahron Williams van Rooij. I was able to explore the lastest innovations in e-learning technologies and environments. This course covered online learning environments including online learning communities, communication and sharing tools, content creation tools, and communities of practice. Additionally, each student worked in teams to design, develop, and implement e-learning modules using one or more of the technologies presented during the course.

EDIT 752 Design and Implementation of Technology-Based Learning Environments (synchronous and asynchronous)

This was taught once again by Dr. Brenda Banna, which was a continuation of EDIT 732. This course gave each student an opportunity to apply principles of instructional design, research, user research, evaluation, and revision techniques to a design project. Each student continue to work in the same group as the previous semester and collaboratively and thoroughly design/re-design the project.

EDIT 771 Overview of Digital Media (asynchronous)

This course was taught by Joseph Provenzano. His course was already exciting to start with because of his eye catching introduction to the class. To start off, he structured each student with a series of Design Challenges. These challenges are intended to give each student a chance to work in teams to explore elements of design thinking as each one comes up with creative solutions to authentic problems. Additionally, each student interacts with various of digital media tools.
